Marqeta Exec named one of Top 25 Women Leaders in Fintech

Today, American Banker released its annual list of the Most Influential Women in Payments, celebrating the senior executives who are guiding the future of the global payments industry. We’re thrilled to share that our Chief Operating Officer, Vidya Peters was recognized as one of the most influential women in our industry.

Vidya joined Marqeta in 2019 as our Chief Marketing Officer and has helped lead us through transformational growth as a company over the last few years. Vidya played a key role in supporting our journey to becoming a publicly-traded company in June 2021 and has since become the Chief Operating Officer, with interim leadership roles in both our revenue and product organizations. Vidya quickly became a force of knowledge in the payments industry and is an instrumental member of our executive team. She invests in the company’s mission and those of our customers, while also being passionate about empowering Marqetans to do their best work. Vidya makes sure she has time to provide mentorship to females at Marqeta and in the tech industry. We’re proud to see Vidya recognized for this award and are fortunate to have her on our team.
