Digital Banking Insights
Motivated by a desire to get a sense of how new market trends are changing consumer attitudes towards their banking options and payment technologies, we surveyed 2,027 consumers on January 16-17 using Propeller Insights. Our survey sample included 1,200 people from the United States, 500 people from the UK and 100 people from France, Germany and Spain.
75% of people said a positive payment experience made them more loyal to a brand
40% of people said they’re more likely to frequent an online retailer if they don’t have to re-enter their payment information
The verdict was clear
Good payments technology is good for your business: 75% of people said a positive payment experience made them more loyal to a brand and 40% of people said they’re more likely to frequent an online retailer if they don’t have to re-enter their payment information.
Our survey found that how we bank, live and spend is changing fast. Peer-to-peer banking apps are coming up fast on cold-hard cash and checks. People are feeling less attached to their traditional banking brand. They're split about whether cash will disappear from society altogether, but unsure about what a cashless society will mean for them.
