# Card Network Certifications 2020

> Learn about the certifications earned by Marqeta for each of the supported card networks.

  Visa network certification
</h3>

The Marqeta platform is certified on Visa Release 20.2, effective October 2020.

<h3 id="_mastercard_network_certification">
  Mastercard network certification
</h3>

The Marqeta platform is certified on Mastercard Release 20.2, effective October 2020.

With this release, Mastercard requires a Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.2 connection between the host and the Mastercard Interface Processor for all new customers, as well as customers moving data centers or moving to cloud services.

Also in the release, Mastercard enhances MoneySend and Funding Transactions. To support this enhancement, Marqeta now includes the `sender_account_type` element in the `transactions.original_credit` object.

  Discover network certification
</h3>

The Marqeta platform is certified on Discover Release 20.2, effective October 16, 2020.

<h3 id="_pulse_network_certification">
  PULSE network certification
</h3>

The Marqeta platform is certified on PULSE Release 20.2, version 1.0, effective October 12, 2020.

<h3 id="_moneypass_network_certification">
  MoneyPass network certification
</h3>

The Marqeta platform is now certified on the MoneyPass surcharge-free ATM network, enabling you to offer surcharge-free ATM transactions to your users. Marqeta integrates on the MoneyPass network through the PULSE gateway.

MoneyPass ATM transactions include the `network_metadata.surcharge_free_atm_network` field in the JSON payloads of webhooks and Gateway JIT Funding requests.
