# Using Real-Time Decisioning for Token Provisioning

> Detect and prevent fraud during token provisioning using Marqeta's Real-Time Decisioning (RTD) engine.

Marqeta now enables card programs to apply Real-Time Decisioning (RTD) directly in the token provisioning flow, so provisioning requests are evaluated against your risk rules before a response is returned to the card network.

## Using RTD to screen token provisioning requests

As fraudulent activity stemming from bank identification number (BIN) enumeration continues to rise, screening provisioning requests before approval gives card programs an important control point to protect against unauthorized token provisioning.

RTD for token provisioning integrates Marqeta's RTD engine directly into the token provisioning flow.
Every token provisioning request is evaluated in real-time against your risk rules before Marqeta returns a response to the card network, allowing your program to approve or deny each request.
