Marqeta rolls out Card Issuing and Processing platform releases in phases. If you don’t see a feature in your environment yet, you will after Marqeta updates your environment to the new version. Platform release numbers, such as V.2026.8.31.0, identify the release, not the date it becomes available.

Random PIN generation when creating a new card

When use_random_pin is set to true, cards of this card product type will be assigned a random PIN.The default value of this field is false.

Fixed: Error and reason code for PIN reveal on inactive cards

Platform release: V.2026.4.13.0Sandbox release date: May 4, 2026Production release date: May 5, 2026An issue has been fixed in this release that caused PIN /reveal API requests to return the error 404001 (“Card not found”) for existing cards not in an ACTIVE state.
