Marqeta begins a new journey as a public company

Today represents an exciting milestone for our company and our mission to be the global standard for modern card issuing. In 2010, Marqeta’s Founder & CEO, Jason Gardner, set out to simplify the complex and change what’s possible with commercial and consumer card programs.

Throughout this journey, our open API platform has empowered builders to bring new and innovative payment solutions to the world — and we’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible with modern card issuing.

We’re incredibly grateful for our customers, partners, every Marqetan and our families. We wouldn’t be here without them and the support of our community in Oakland, California. We’re fortunate to have our home base in a part of the world that supports entrepreneurs and technical innovation.
