Marqeta announces Alan Carlisle as Chief Compliance Officer

We’re excited to welcome Alan Carlisle as our new Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Alan is a veteran regulatory and compliance practitioner with over 25 years of experience in financial services and capital markets. At Marqeta, he will be responsible for elevating and expanding our regulatory compliance management system. 

Alan excels at designing and implementing risk and compliance controls and is passionate about creating a culture where compliance is ingrained in the attitudes, values and behaviors of the organization. His deep expertise in the field will be instrumental in enabling our continued growth and product differentiation to best serve our customers. 

Before Marqeta, Alan was most recently with SoFi, where he spent six years leading the compliance function. Before SoFi, Alan spent over a decade in senior executive roles at financial services companies, ranging from crowdfunding platforms to marketplace lenders. He holds several compliance certifications, has served on numerous industry committees, and acts as a regulatory strategic advisor for various fintech and regulatory technology companies.
