Position Summary

Marqeta is looking for a highly driven, experienced Customer Success Manager who will support the growth of the Australian and New Zealand customers. You will be the primary contact for our existing customers and will work closely with them to ensure the relationship flourishes. 

The Customer Success team plays a vital role in realizing and growing Marqeta’s revenue and retaining our portfolio of customers. Not only will our customers love to work with you, but you will proactively work with them to grow their business with Marqeta. This could be working with our global teams to support entry into new geographies; providing expertise on how they can grow their existing programs; identifying and delivering cross-sell opportunities.

You’ll be the face of the customer within Marqeta, and will be working with our broader global and local teams to ensure we exceed their expectations. This includes Technology, Product, Go-To-Market, Risk, Legal and Compliance.

You’ll be collaborating closely with other key players on the Marqeta team, including Technology, Product, Customer Success, Risk, Legal and Operations. 

We are looking for a true payments nerd. One who has worked within card issuing and understands how to get card issuing solutions live. Ideally, you’re also versed in customer integration within an API context.

FinTech Guru: You already have deep knowledge of disruption in the financial services industry or possess a strong desire to learn the ropes while working with the top innovators in the space.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing role responsible for revenue achievements in customer success, relationship management or account management
  • Experience in payments or financial technology is essential, as is the ability to grasp complex products and articulate confidently to customers.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue and growth targets.
  • Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email).
  • Possess unique analytical skills, project management and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Stellar ability to influence others in a matrix environment, gaining buy-in at multiple levels across the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive schedules.
  • Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
