Marqeta is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Automation and Integration who will be responsible for Intelligent Automation and Integrations who has experience working with a dynamic team, designing impactful strategies, and solving complex business problems for large, global organizations. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will provide leadership, vision, processes, and solutions to build and drive the execution of the process automation strategic roadmap. This position plays a critical role in the identification of automation & integration opportunities while matching them to appropriate tools and sustainable approaches to simplify work and improve the effectiveness of the Operations workforce. The Staff SWE of A&I will be responsible for improving operational metrics for scalability and quality by creating more efficient end-end business processes through automation. This position includes supporting operational processes and performance as well as resource, financial planning, and control activities.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate cross functionally with other system owners to identify process enhancement opportunities.
- Independently and consistently develop, and deliver clear, bug-free code.
- Drive the creation of a target state architecture and technology integration strategy, along with required investments, timeline, and resourcing needs, ensuring alignment with Marqeta’s technology principles and strategy.
- Define unit test standards and implement automation for all products and features managed by the team
- Develop integration strategies into executable plans and lead the integration of acquisitions to ensure business goals are met while driving alignment to Marqeta’s operational and security standards.
- Build and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to efficiently process and transform large volumes of data from source systems into our data warehouse
- Develop efficiency and cost-saving innovative process improvements using Integration and Automation tools
- Understand and manage stakeholder expectations to enable a successful partnership with the Automation and Integration team
- Work with internal and external auditors on SOX and other compliance related matters.
What We’re Looking For
- Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
- 5+ years of technology and business support experience required
- 3+ years of experience with activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications
- 3+ years of proven experience managing projects through the entire SDLC and generating business requirements
- 5+ years of experience with RPA tools, equivalent internal/custom developed tools/scripts, or experience as a Process Improvement Manager or similar role in a complex enterprise environment
- Experience with Salesforce preferred
- Experience with Master Data Management technologies preferred
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure big plus
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience with Workato is preferred
- Passion for low-code solutions is preferred
- Interest in generative AI technologies
