Marketing Program Manager

Position Summary

We're looking for a Marketing Executive to own the marketing tech stack including the UK website, the implementation and reporting of campaigns, and the distribution of content. This is hands on role ensuring the execution is best in class with the chosen candidate being able to grow in role and having the opportunity to get involved in content creation and the deeper marketing strategy. 

A real grasp and enjoyment of data is fundamental as this is key to determining marketing campaign success. Reporting and analytics are crucial to determining ROI and whether to continue or pivot from activity. An understanding and enjoyment of working with marketing tech (Wordpress, Salesforce, Hubspot, Pathfactory) is a must as is the ability to work with and influence multiple stakeholders to sell in activity and coordinate on an ongoing basis as Marketing works closely with Sales, Partnerships, Product and Strategy in a holistic Go To Market approach.

What You'll Do

1. Key participation in the Go To Market lead generation programme  

  • Marqeta has a go to market team where the key functions collaborate across Marketing, Sales, Partnerships and Strategy on an identified target list of ideal prospect customers  
  • This role is pivotal in the management of this programme from sourcing data, evaluating prospect selection through to initiating tactics/ campaigns and owning the reporting 
  • Ensuring always on activity, such as newsletters, to key audiences is optimised and delivering against awareness metric targets  

2. Website optimisation 

  • The website significantly contributes to the overall marketing pipeline. Ongoing optimisation of the website is vital   
  • Ownership of web reporting metrics to determine where opportunities exist for performance enhancement and playing an active role re plans to address identified opportunities   
  • Assisting in the origination of fresh website content addressing industry themes and key stakeholder needs  

3. Business reporting and dashboards 

  • Metric analysis is key to not only marketing operations but that of the wider GTM team ensuring that we stay on course for success 
  • This role will work closely with Business Leaders in Europe and the US ensuring that we have the right reporting in place to always be on top of pipeline health. This will involve both adhoc reporting as well building out periodical dashboards

4. Content distribution 

  • Ownership of the blog calendar and ensuring frequent publication of Marqeta Europe blogs 
  • Ownership of the distribution strategy of content: Publish content on our ‘owned channels’; blog, social, email, Path Factory. Syndicate content through our ‘paid channels’ via 3rd party partners.
  • Bring recommendations and ideas to the table as to how we can gain additional content exposure and ideas re future content opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years within marketing roles working across mixed channels to plan, execute and report on customer acquisition.
  • An understanding of B2B environment in a hi-tech / payments space used  
  • A curious thinker who builds campaigns off the back of their own research into the market as well as through talking to customers / potential customers to build their knowledge around pain points and thus understand how to capitalize on them. 
  • Highly skilled in operating a lead gen tech stack - Salesforce, Hubspot, Demandbase, Wordpress and Pathfactory  
  • A proficient user and knowledge of how to leverage social media to drive lead generation  
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Great organizational skills. Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver projects on time
  • Highly self-motivated and feels at ease working on multiple priorities 
  • Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able to work independently
