Position Summary

Marqeta is looking for a strategic and driven leader to join our Revenue Operations team driving Marqeta’s Sales Planning, Compensations, and Global Pricing function. This is a highly cross-functional and strategic role that requires strong partnerships with the leadership team in Sales, Customer Success, Business Development, and Finance.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the Annual Sales Planning, Sales Compensation, and Pricing process
  • Determine the critical elements of each plan (e.g., pay mix, leverage, measures, mechanics, crediting rules, sales performance incentive fund)
  • Partner with sales and finance leaders to develop targets and quotas across various business, service, and product lines
  • Provide direction on establishing and cascading quotas throughout the organization
  • Roll out the annual sales compensation program and evangelize it across the sales organization
  • Lead the communication of the program and its related processes to the sales organization, acting as the point of contact for sales leadership
  • Oversee the administration of sales commissions, ensuring timely and accurate payouts
  • Partnering with the Product Marketing team and optimizing pricing and packaging to maximize value and customer adoption while streamlining and simplifying customer adoption.
  • Setting up a pricing governance process for the company and establishing best practices around pricing and packaging to accelerate market adoption.
  • Leading efforts to gather market intelligence to maximize customer lifetime value.
  • Champion value selling methodology
  • Partner with finance, sales leadership, HR, and business leaders to ensure sales plans drive the intended focus and behaviors to achieve stated objectives

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in the sales planning, compensation, and pricing experience
  • Proven success leading high impact analysis and financial modeling 
  • An innate sense of urgency and results to drive programs forward
  • Demonstrated ability to effect internal change management
  • Experience working with senior executives
  • Experience interfacing with business client groups, sales leaders, and finance teams
  • Experience working within a fast-paced matrix organization
  • Strategic thinker and detailed operator with a strong drive for results
  • Highly analytical with a focus on data-based recommendations
  • Driven and self-motivated to continuously refine their tradecraft
  • Collaborative, team player
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with close attention to detail
