Senior Compensation Partner

Position Summary

As Senior Compensation Partner, you will help define Marqeta’s compensation strategy in alignment with Marqeta’s values and business objectives. You will assist in developing and designing compensation programs that optimize our ability to attract, engage, and retain top talent at a fast-paced publicly traded company. Reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards, you will be responsible for supporting the compensation strategy, design, and implementation.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in the research for, and ongoing development and administration of a compensation program that matches Marqeta's needs.
  • Support the global compensation function including annual compensation review cycle, market data survey participation, and job and diversity/equity evaluation. Ensure the Marqeta’s compensation philosophy and strategy is market competitive.
  • Partner closely with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and People Leaders across the People team to assess existing programs, processes, and practices and drive innovative solutions to enhance the employee experience.
  • Support the People Team’s technology strategies, objectives and roadmap, which support the People Team’s and business goals. 
  • In partnership with the Legal team, ensure that we operate in compliance with all laws, policies, and best practices globally.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7 or more years of progressive professional experience in compensation in global organizations.
  • Experience administering an integrated approach to compensation and long-term incentive programs in a publicly traded company. 
  • Exceptional technology skill and capable of complex analysis to derive insights based on program metrics that can be tracked, interpreted, presented, and tailored for multiple audiences.
  • Superior ability to communicate, influence, persuade, build trust, and gain the confidence of and advise all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with a wide variety of HR tools and systems including implementation of new products. Experience with Workday strongly preferred.
  • Passion for developing programs that scale in a fast growing organization with a distributed workforce.
  • Advanced experience in Excel.
