As Marqeta’s Analyst on the PNO Announcements, Compliance and Enhancements team you will facilitate multiple aspects of the payments network communication lifecycle, including customer and partner reporting, issue management, and communication organization. You’ll be collaborating closely with the Marqeta extended team, including Network and Bank Partnerships, Customer Success, Finance, Product, Compliance, Legal, Technology.

Payment Network Operations (PNO) is a foundational function to ensure that Marqeta is operationally ‘paving the road’ for our Customers through our network partners, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and others.  Our business model thrives on the infrastructures established by these payment networks, necessitating our team's expertise to foster and deepen these invaluable partnerships and open the door to the payments ecosystem for our customers. 

This role will be performed in a hybrid work model (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite) from our Warsaw office.  We’d love for you to join us!

The Impact You’ll Have

The ACE Team ensures Marqeta’s ongoing compliance with card network regulations and prevents potential operational or reputational risks. We help protect Marqeta, our programs, and our issuing bank partners by proactively monitoring and analyzing card network mandates, announcements, and compliance requirements, and working closely with product teams to ensure changes are communicated and executed effectively—helping to avoid potential service disruptions and damage to client trust.

In support of this objective, the Payment Network Operations Analyst for the ACE team will: 

  • Facilitate the ingestion of announcements published by our card network partners (Visa, Mastercard, Pulse, Discover, Amex, Moneypass, Allpoint)
  • Process all communications from the network into Jira for review
  • Assist with flagging impactful announcements to product managers and relevant stakeholders to ensure Marqeta remains compliant with network regulations and help prevent operational issues for Marqeta, our programs, and our issuing banks.
  • Collaborate with other members of the ACE team to submit waiver and participation opt-in/out requests to issuing bank partners and Client Success teams
  • Maintain records of waivers and participation opt-outs for Marqeta Customers
  • Proactively track waiver expiration dates and ensure renewals are submitted and processed timely
  • Grow as a subject matter expert for card network compliance & operational questions
  • Act as the Administrator for Payment Network Online Portals
  • Conduct regular partner reporting
  • Cross-train with PNO BIN and TAM Teams

Who You Are

  • Basic knowledge of Visa and/or Mastercard products, services and policies with at least 1-3 years of experience within the payment network industry
  • Growing ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams
  • Take ownership and drive accountability for assigned tasks 
  • Drive results with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high-quality deliverables
  • Continual growth in communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written)
  • Improve existing processes and institute new processes to improve efficiency and accuracy, decrease toil, and expand impact
  • Collaborate with team members in Poland and globally

Compensation and Benefits

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position, reflected in PLN,  is: 117,000-146,500. The bonus target for this position is 10 % of the applicable base salary, subject to the plan terms and meeting eligibility requirements.
