As Marqeta’s Senior Salesforce Developer you will serve as a technology partner for our stakeholders leveraging Salesforce including GTM, customer onboarding, customer success and other cross-functional teams.

We are looking for someone with in-depth Salesforce configuration, customization and integrations knowledge who can upgrade the platform to meet our strategic business objectives. As a senior member of the team, you should be comfortable navigating and developing custom solutions inside and outside the Salesforce platform to streamline and automate business processes, ensure data integrity is maintained, create repeatable and reliable integrations and reduce manual effort. Collaboration with other data teams is also a key responsibility to help ensure data definitions and data relationships are maintained. 

The ideal candidate will be happy liaising with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to understand and clearly articulate the business problem, translate technical information into layman’s terms, explain different design options and deploy the correct solution using best practices and solid engineering fundamentals in an Agile framework.

The impact and visibility of your engineering work will directly align with strategic company-wide initiatives, improve customer experiences and increase productivity for internal users.

What You’ll Do

  • Understand the company, business and technical requirements and goals
  • Translate requirements and goals into technical designs and solutions
  • Innovate and define scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience
  • Create custom fields and objects, automate processes, improve data quality
  • Build and maintain processes (Workflow, Process Builder, Flow)
  • Build and maintain integrations with other SaaS platform and internal systems
  • Ensure data integrity and data relationships across systems are maintained
  • Create and modify rules, fields, page layouts, record types, settings, reports
  • Actively research areas for improvement (tech debt, data quality, automation)
  • Maintain high sprint velocity goals and guide junior engineers
  • Participate in daily standups and perform stakeholder demos

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of Salesforce technical experience (configure, customize, support)
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification 
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification 
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant Certification 
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and II Certification 
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification 
  • Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant Certification 
  • Salesforce CPQ Certification
  • Salesforce integrations experience
  • DocuSign CLM admin experience
  • Experience working with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ and Experience Cloud
  • Experience working with a CLM and Marketing tech stack solutions
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
  • Experience with with complex multi-phase projects
  • Experience working on integrations with Demand Gen, DocuSign, Data Warehouses
  • Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Objects and Data Model
  • Strong declarative knowledge, understands tradeoffs of using code
  • Ability to systematically troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to reliably prioritize and complete tasks with minimal supervision

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components
  • Experience with REST and SOAP API to build internal/external integrations
